Who we are

Echeverri Houweling Foundation, a family foundation registered in the Netherlands under KVK 42078470. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us any time through our contact page.

What we collect

• Donation details: your name, email address, donation amount, currency, date and a payment reference.
• Messages: anything you send us through the contact form.
• Payment data: your bank or card details are entered directly with our payment provider. We never see or store them.

Why we use it

• To process your donation and issue your receipt (performance of a contract).
• To keep accurate financial and administrative records, as required by Dutch law (legal obligation).
• To answer your questions and keep you informed about the work you supported (legitimate interest).

Public impact figures on this site are aggregated totals only. Your name and email are never published.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run the foundation: our payment provider (Stripe Payments Europe, for processing iDEAL, Bancontact and card donations), our hosting and database provider, and our accountant. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. We never sell or rent donor data.

How long we keep it

Donation records are kept for seven years to meet Dutch tax and accounting requirements. Contact messages are deleted once the conversation is finished, unless we need them for our records.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it (where we are not legally required to keep it), restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable format. Write to us via the contact page and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Security and cookies

Data is stored on access-controlled servers in the EU and transmitted over encrypted connections. This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies; our payment provider sets only the cookies strictly needed to complete a payment securely.

Changes

If we update this policy we will change the date at the top of this page.
